Why specifically Orthomol® Sport?

Direction to use

How should Orthomol® Sport be taken?

Take the contents of one ready-to-drink vial (= daily serving) together with the tablet and the capsule daily, with or after a meal. Generally we recommend taking the product some time before or after your sports activity. Shake well before use.

How long should Orthomol® Sport be taken?

To satisfy the specifically increased need for micronutrients the regular and long term use of Orthomol® Sport is recommended.

As a top-performance athlete or hobby sportsman you will know: Every ambitious athlete wishes to achieve a certain level of performance. But training only is not enough. Your diet should also be adapted to your activities. What is Orthomol® Sport?

Orthomol® Sport is a food supplement. Important micronutrients for sports performance.

The minerals magnesium and calcium contribute to normal muscle function.

B-complex vitamins and different minerals contribute to normal energy metabolism.

Glucose can be stored as energy carrier in the body in the form of glycogen.

Vitamin B6 contributes to normal glycogen metabolism. Zinc contributes to normal carbohydrate metabolism.

Vitamin C contributes to maintain the normal function of the immune system during and after intense physical exercise.

Bound to the red blood color hemoglobin, oxygen is transported by the erythrocytes (red blood cells). Iron, vitamin B12 and vitamin B6 contribute to normal formation of red blood cells. Iron also contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and to normal oxygen transport in the body. Folic acid contributes to normal blood building. The antioxidants vitamin C and E as well as the trace elements zinc, selenium and copper contribute to the protection of cell constituents from oxidative damage.

Calcium and vitamin D are needed for the maintenance of normal bone.

With L-carnitine, coenzyme Q10 and omega-3 fatty acids.

The secured and certified manufacturing process ensures that any risk of contamination with doping substances is excluded. Orthomol Sport is free of prohormones and nandrolone (sample analysis detection limit 0.01 μg/g (GC/MS).

Deficiencies in the micronutrient supply of athletes:

Antioxidant features of various micronutrients:

Non-enzymatic antioxidants

  • Vitamin C – water soluble, reacts with oxygen radicals, prevents the entry of free radicals in the lipid phase, e.g. the cell membranes.
  • Vitamin E – fat soluble, above all in cell membranes, prevents the oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids.
  • Carotenoids – fat soluble, specifically effective against singlet oxygen.
  • Bioflavonoids – antioxidants from fruits such as citrus fruits or apples.

Trace elements in antioxidant enzyme systems

  • Selenium – key component of the antioxidant glutathione peroxidase enzyme which is significant for the elimination of lipid peroxides.
  • Zinc, manganese, copper – components of antioxidant superoxide dismutases.
